Hello All:

Wanted to pass along a great article written by Evan J. Smith. Here is the link - http://www.mustangandfords.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/1710-s550-billet-rear-shock-mount-steeda-autosports/

If you’re looking for a quick and easy modification you can do at home, take a look at Steeda’s billet shock mount for the S550 (2015-present) Ford Mustang. The rear upper shock mount is located behind the rear tires (in the wheelwell); its purpose is to connect the upper portion of the rear shock to the chassis, and Steeda’s version is a perfect upgrade if you’ve lowered your Stang or added stiff shocks.

Read the full article for the full benefit of the rear shock mount!

On the link that is supplied, on item 6 it says (and shows) to slip the spacer supplied onto the rod, I thought that the silver standard spacer had to be removed? i.e, not to run both.

On Enochs (big500) you tube fitting video, he mentions to remove the standard spacer, because there isn’t enough safe thread left if both are used.

To remove? or not to remove? that is the question.

Hello Dwaine,

WE do not remove the spacer.

There should be plenty of thread engagement.

Hope that helps!

Best Regards,

TJ

Just installed these on my car last week. Helped the car feel a little more planted over bumps and uneven roads. Might have helped the car fishtail just a hair less also.
