The sound tube was removed on exhaust install.

Drone does die away after 2,000 rpm but is quite active from 1,250 to 2,000, my wife hates that part.

My SF is moderately loud, as loud as I am comfortable with and I also have a couple of harleys where I have to select which WOF place will pass them. It's much louder than the stock R8 and a stock Mustang but as to too loud, that is all individually based (local Harley salesman says he can hear me coming from inside the shop and he knows its me in the Mustang). I visit a mate who lives in a typical suburban area and he tells me his neighbours know when I come and leave from inside their home. Ha, he (and his neighbour) both want the same exhaust. I did question my 'hearing' and took the car to an independent performance garage and after taking the owner for a spin he just commented 'yeah, a bit loud'.

I hear your points and I thought much the same. Reverting back to the 3.55 is an option but I have been presented with a course of action an am happy to roll with it for a limited time.

Whatever you do, do NOT go back to 3.55s. You'll be spending more time in the drone zone with 3.55s.
