Sniffer or OBDII? Because even if cats clean up the exhaust there's no guarantee it still won't throw a code for the rear O2s.

Are you sure? If the cats do their job the P0420/0430 codes shouldn't get thrown.

If the aftermarket cats can't handle the job and codes do get thrown he could maybe try spacers.

OBD2 and visual, which I am not too worried about.
