FYI ground to fender on the front now is 27.75, prior to springs and struts was 28.625. So a 7/8 inch drop on an ecoboost premium pp going to Bilstein plus sp080 up front. It's nice that you can't see the yellow, red and blue of the springs and dampers, because it's hideous!

Rear springs are on. After I get the alignment done on Thursday I'll be able to pay better attention to how the car handles and what kind of difference the Bilstein's and the springs make. I can tell you guys however just from a couple short drives with the front done that it's a big improvement in handling. After I wash the car I'll post pics!

Springs installed on dampers = ugly as hell
LOL Ronald McDonald called and wants his struts back! j/k good thing they aren't visible. I've always had a lot of respect for Bilstein dampers, their mono-tube design always seem good. I guess it will also depend on what they chose for compression and rebound rates. That is actually what I wanted originally but gave up a long time ago waiting for them to deliver with delay after delay.

Totally get the frustration. I probably wouldn't have waited either, the timing on the fronts just so happened to work for me.

Any updates from anyone on how these are working out?? Anyone tried them with BMR springs?

I have BMR springs with Bilstein struts and it works just fine. Rears not out yet. Supposed to be a shipping container landing end of October though. Hoping to have them on in about a month.

Wow, figured the rears would be out by now...

I'm sure they work well with just about any springs, just curious what people thought of them.

I've got BMR's minimum drop spring set and I'm looking for the best performing shocks that still maintain a degree of comfort.

Generally when I think of a damper that meets that criteria, I think of Bilstein.

Does anyone else have a better recommendation for my scenario?

FWIW, big fan of the Bils. Used them on both my 86 (both in conventional and C/O) and my 01 Cobra. As with all dampers the spring rate and damper must match. The nice thing about Bilsteins is that they tend to have a pretty broad range. They also seem to do a great job without adjustability. Frankly, I'd run them over the SA Konis any day. Not a fan of those at all. I got a great deal on some KWv3 and appreciate their DA options. Had the Bils come out earlier, I'd have gone with them.

So my order for the rears was supposed to ship yesterday. Now today the new shipping date is 3/1/2018. Don't hold your breath guys.
