Post #63 contained the document but the link seems to be dead now... Interesting
Edit: found it in the 2016 warranty guide

Read the part specifically about aluminum panels... "If aluminum panels have corrosion or rust damage..." No mention of perforation with aluminum panels.Perforated is in the clause
That's how I read it too. I'm assuming this is the same warranty text for the 2017 models. Sounds like they changed the corrosion warranty for 2016 and beyond, but the 2015 guys are screwed and locked down to the 3yr/36k warranty.Read the part specifically about aluminum panels... Perforation was referring to the normal 5 year corrosion warranty....
I certainly hope so. I only have a couple dealerships near my area, and one already mentioned needing to take pictures. I don't plan on going to that one, at least not first. Thanks for the advice! As long as you are still within the warranty period then there shouldn't be an issue and pictures sent to Ford shouldn't be required. If there is then find a different dealership as they cannot refuse repair as long as it is within the warranty period.
Just as the post below states, they need to take pictures for the warranty process. I would recommend asking them to allow you to see the pictures before they send them out.. that way you can make sure they show the affected area clearly. I didn't have very much resistance other than the "Well Ford will only cover it if there's holes" . I then told the service manager to just go ahead and take pictures and send them off (The service director just happen to be walking by, I showed him pictures I took my self with a DSLR) He asked me to email them to him, and sure enough the next day I got a call telling me Ford approved it.I certainly hope so.
