Car clicking noise that is in sync with the acceleration

My car has been making a clicking noise for a while now. The sound speeds up and slows down with the RPMS. It is most noticeable during a cold start but I do hear it at other times also. The noise is only there while giving acceleration while in gear. If I give it gas while in neutral I do not hear this noise.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

check for nails in your tire.
