Hello all, I am in the middle of my build when the question roll bar/ cages came up. I know the older models have roll bar options. Has anyone installed one? where did you get it? does it interfere with the drop top

thanks in advance

Why would you leave the seats in if you were installing that? Removing the seats would reduce weight...

But good find.... there was a guy in the ecoboost section who posted a pic of his vert car with the roll bars installed.

That looks like a good option, remove the seats and bolt it on for track days and take it out when your done. It doesn't say if the top operates when it's installed but assuming it does.
The rep stated it opens and closes with no issue.

I like the idea of the rollbar for trackdays but wouldnt want it in all the time, just my opinion. Looks solid and well thought out.

Well it's removable and unless you get a custom job it's decent for track days.

Painted shouldn't be to bad.

I know.... it is like one of those things you purchase for function and hope you never need it...

Guess someone could always paint it pink and hang some tassels from it. That might look cute, to some. :D

Can you add the 2 front supports to this? I'm looking to run 9s soon and would be nice to be safe as possible.

One thing I'm not liking is their ad says "minimum trim panel cutting"

Don't really want to cut trim panels; decisions decisions.

Well, you have to figure that some of the supports - I'm thinking specifically the diagonal rear bars - have to reach the frame, and the frame is covered by plastic (and carpet), so some cutting is probably unavoidable.

If done right, it would still look pretty good, and if you're concerned about aesthetics, you could also dress it up with a nice powdercoat
