Wheels no.You kept your old wheels and suspension for conversion back to stock?
That's unfortunate, seems about normal on trade in though.Wheels no.
Suspension yes. But I don’t feel like ripping it out.
Check craigslist for some stock takeoffs, I've seen the dark stainless 19x9 set for around $500-600. I'm sure you could find the base GT wheels for a bit less.I wouldn't make much money on ripping out and selling the suspension stuff anyway.
It'd had up to a few hundred.
The wheels are what hurt though. My dumb ass should have kept my stock ones.
This is 100% the truth. They will show you numbers on a trade but maybe not give you rebates or reflect something onto the price of the new car. Just be on the look out for that stuff. I've had lots of customers come in and say they got offered this on a trade and having to show them what another dealership may have done to up their trade value. Is that in trade with a new purchase? If so, is the purchase price good? Sometimes they inflate trade in pricing and add it to the new car sale.
27k for a 3-4 year old GT is very good IMO from a dealer. As an owner you can't expect to make anything back from the mods you added.
As an ex car salesman we played this game nonstop. Moved numbers around to confuse the customer into thinking they were getting a good deal.Is that in trade with a new purchase? If so, is the purchase price good? Sometimes they inflate trade in pricing and add it to the new car sale.
