I was around for the shoe discovery actually. It changed my life.

The last time I used Waze in this area (Huntington) was a couple years ago and it was basically worthless. Maybe word has spread a bit better since then.

It's been 100% for the past three months. Especially on I64. Lots of people traveling from other states maybe helps too, ha ha.

I guess if I break down and go back to a smart phone I'll start using it.

I have K band turned off on my Escort Passport. Waze and the Escort have saved me more times then I can imagine. While Waze is very good there have been countless times when it wasn't marked on Waze and they were actively shooting Ka. Radar detector also helps when they are up ahead of you running speed, Ka can be picked up miles out and give you fair warning. Least out here in the flatlands of Florida.

i use ACC in my edge, super awesome, plus waze for cop detection

K band falses are actually mostly from blind spot monitors.

You need a detector with better filtering. RDForum is a great site to learn all there is to know about detectors, etc.

Off the top of my head some of the better K filters belong to the Radenso, Stinger VIP, Uniden R1/R3, and even the newest version of the Valentine One.
