Listen to the same vehicle from 1:40 onward, that's a horrible tone.
Sounds great to me.

No one is going to be able to convince you that your own subjective tastes are wrong, all I can point to is what you yourself said... They seem to be the most popular muffler.

I won best engine sound in a ~100 vehicle car show with extreme mufflers and sp catless headers.

The sound isn't for everyone, but most people like it.

That sounds so bad to me, like someone trying to cut a tin roof with a chainsaw. I like loud as much as the next guy but I don't want my car to sound like carbon powered diarrhea.
+1.

If one keeps the stock headers or runs catted long tubes... then the Xtremes sound good to me.

I was originally going to buy a C6Z, then at Caffeine and Octane I heard an S550 with headers and Xtreme.
I bought my Mustang the next weekend.

I can't wait for headers. I absolutely love the combination.
Everyone likes different things.

I hear this exhaust setup for 1 out of every 2 or 3 Mustang GT's (5.0 Coyotes) on the road. Please explain to me how is this an appealing sound.

Pointless post about pointless subjective subject. I can say they are popular because people love the sound so it might not be for you but that doesnt make it bad.

Agreed. This might as well be a thread where a vegan asks meat eaters to explain why eating meat is appealing.

OP have you ever heard of personal preference? No one cares what your opinion about them is, or atleast I hope they’re grown up enough not to. Lol

This is what I tend to think happens when I stomp on the throttle and pass someone...

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the sound when it's cold, sounds better when it's warm, and or on e85. I put my first tank of 91 in a few days ago, think I'll go back to e85, doesn't get that cold here anyway. Love the sound of the ghost cam tune, but the longest I've had it in was a few days, drives terrible, and it's kinda ricey.

It's all about personal taste, but I've never heard a Corsa exhaust sound good unless it's ripping past at full throttle. I'm personally a Borla guy and had Stingers on my Mach1, and a Ford Racing (by Borla) axle back on both my Escorts. I plan to put Borla on what ever I get next.

If I hear something I like more I'll go with that, but Borla's never let me down yet.

One thing is for sure, people overuse the word raspy when it comes to exhausts.

Borlas do sound quite good. They have a lot more depth of tone below say, 3000 rpm than Corsa. They get a little flat sounding up top though. Corsa exhausts scream and get better with revs. It's a revvy engine, so...
