Well got the shifter in today...looks complicated..lots of pieces and parts..more than the MT82 one. Any instructions or helpful hints on installing the conversion shifter?

I watched a video on youtube of them installing on a gt500. It's actually pretty easy.

So,I tried to send my clutch discs to McLeaod to have it resplined for use with the Magnum XL I am waiting to swap with my new motor and was told they can NOT do that.

The disc was pretty worn anyway and I offered to just buy a new 26 spline disc but they declined (can't do that either ).
Instead I have to send the entire clutch assembly including the flywheel for a rebuild .

It's pretty heavy at 35 lbs and cost almost $60.

So it looks like the $75 "upgrade " it cost others to have their clutch resplined is no longer going to be available .

I was told they don't do it again for the RXT and RST.

Even insisted I include the flywheel !

You sure they didn't see other issues with your clutch they were worried about?

Wonder if anyone else having these issues

They don't know anything about my clutch and had not seen it .

I just called to aske them if I could send the discs and they said NO.

When I asked about just buying new discs they also said NO.

I would have been happy to buy new discs but they refused .

However looking on Summit and D&D websites it looks like they are still available to order ...hmmm

And all you had to send in were your twin discs ?

Their policy may have changed since then.

I got my re-splined last week. Sent them to them 2nd day air had them back in less than a week. Filled the form out on their site, got a RMA number emailed to me and followed the instruction. I was going to buy disc also to save time but they wouldn't do that. Would have to buy the entire assembly plus new flywheel.

If the disc is new and unused send them in and we can do a straight across exchange.

You’ll just pay for shipping both ways.

If the discs are used, then send in the discs and we can drill the rivets in the hubs out and replace the hubs with the correct spline.

it will be $100.00 for the pair plus shipping.

Thanks for the heads up and contact .
I am kind of really upset they refused when I asked them about doing that .

I just dropped the entire cluttch assembly (weighs like 35 lbs ) to be shipped by FedEx ground .
Cheapest was like $60 by ground and takes 4 days .
It has not shipped yet so wonder if I can cancel (but already paid to have my box re-boxed and shipping )

February, sent in my RST discs and they sent me new 26 spline ones.
