I'm going to use this thread to post new pictures and interesting things going on with my new car.

This past Saturday I took my car out for a backroad drive. It had 197 miles on it from buying it and driving it the previous weekend. I hoped to catch a glimpse of the paint in some sunshine for the first time, but it was overcast all day. I still tried to find some places to take a few photos.

I am loving the Recaro seats! However, if I were daily driving this car I would prefer the "comfort" seats. I had them in my last car and they had decent support, for my size at least (I'm small ... 5'6" 140 lbs) but were very comfy for hours at a time. I very much like how the Recaros look in the car, and they feel great and all ... after 100 miles of nonstop winding backroads they aren't that comfortable. It makes for a good time to get out and stretch and take a break though! I'll admit, I'm still playing with my seating position.

My daily driver, a 2017 GTI Sport w/ DSG transmission, with my GT350:

The north Texas GT350 group met up for lunch and tinkering at "the hangar", one our member's amazing garage! We had 5 GT350s total at one point: there's a Shadow Black to the right behind the Super Duty, there's a Magnetic inside the hangar being worked on, and the 3 others in this pic.

The white GT350 stopped by from out of town, and it is an INSANE car that's being used an enjoyed like it should. Check this out:

A built engined TT car, on drag radials, driven from Montana to Texas! :headbang:

We had a cold front come through, and it paid off because on Sunday we had beautiful blue sky weather with temperatures from 50-70F!

I got to see my car's paint in the sunshine for the first time and put a few more miles on it.

I like this shot from my iPhone, shows the depth of Lightning Blue. I stopped to clean my windshield, I typically get gas from TopTier stations. RaceTrac unfortunately isn't one...

Drove past a place I thought would make for a decent background. Near downtown Celina, TX.

A lot of American power in this pic!

just a suggestion, I had a mustang with the bumper drilled a few years back and I solved this with a trip to the dealer looking thru his supply of plastic plugs. there are many sizes and colours avalible. black should be easy to find. by the way your car is beautiful in that colour combo

I know he said it's tuned for 91 pump gas due to his primary location (Northwest). I don't remember what numbers he said it was making.

Thanks for the input! I have a Craig's drill-less bracket from my last car (never installed). I'm going to just run a front plate and use it for now, until I decide what I want to do about the stripes.

Some pictures from the week. I hit 500 miles so far :headbang:

I drive past here often but haven't ever taken pictures. I went for a sunset drive after work this week and thought the evening light would make for a good pic. It's before my time, but this ranch was the set for the TV show Dallas. Only had my iPhone with me and should've parked differently but anyway:

I drove the car to work on a nice day this week and grabbed a great picture in the midday sun. This is straight from my iPhone 6S+, no editing other than resizing!

I've been using cheap tire pressure gauges for too long, finally went all out and sprung for this $23  highly-rated gauge from Amazon. Works great!

I also finally bought a torque wrench that I'm able to use to check/tighten the Shelby's 150 ft/lb wheel nuts with. In the middle is my cheapo first torque wrench, that probably has terrible accuracy, but I've had it forever and it's done good enough. On the right is my micro-torque wrench I got as a gift from my grandpa maybe 10 years ago. It's a 3/8" drive, 2~20 ft/lb (markings are in/lb and Nm). I used it a lot with my 2016 car to check the oil filter torque.

Had a Shelby filled day yesterday, with around 10 total GT350s from the area! We hit up Cars & Coffee Dallas in the early morning, then caravanned to the 27th Annual Spring National event held by Sam Pack (he has more than 10 GT350R in his collection). The mustangs got to line the main street parking in different groups by generation or special ones or Shelby's.

I got to see Lightning Blue, Deep Impact Blue, Grabber Blue, and Kona Blue on various Mustangs all together in the same day in various light.

Meeting up at 6am to go line up to get into Dallas Cars & Coffee
