I only have 5k miles on my 2015 PP GT and plan on throwing a whipple on it, so not really worth the upgrade to me at that price point. Still not a huge fan of the new front end and hood but i like everything else interior/engine wise. I wouldn't get an auto anyways which is probably the most notable new feature.

I noticed that the '18 MT82 has a very different transmission mount.

Compare (this is 2015):

I noticed the stock '18 exhaust is a couple pieces now, instead of the resonator being one-piece with the entire catback (15-17) style.

Good find! Looks like Corsa axlebacks would go right on, based on where the joint is.

That would have been awesome, but I don't think it's correct based on the pictures below.

The mounts look the same to me (identical castings and mounting points), it just looks like the new MT82 has an extended housing or something on the back of it.

Possibly. The more I read about this transmission, the more I want to swap one in.

Yeah, seems like a nice improvement in build quality. I'm wondering how the taller gearing would work on the less powerful 15-17 cars though. I'm thinking of doing the BG fluid swap on mine because I have a lot of grinding going into 3rd and 5th until the car has been running for 20-30 minutes.

Do that as soon as you can. It does wonders. I have noticed that when it's cold (below 40 F), the trans is still pretty notchy for the first handful of shifts in the morning, but after that it's better than stock, and WAY better when it's warm. Optimum Performance will take care of you. I recently installed the MGW Std Race Spec and that completed the shifting experience.

Yeah the MGW is on my list as well. Does anyone know if the 18 uses the same exact shifter as the earlier cars? Or have they beefed it up due to the complaints?
