So, I broke some of it down just to do some side-by-side
2017
Base GT $33195
Base GT+PP $37090
Premium GT $38095
Premium+PP $41090
Premium+401A $39890
Premium 401A+PP $42885
2018
Base GT $35095
Base+PP $41190 includes 301A - build and price lets you put PP without 301A but the other materiel leads me to believe it's mandatory.
Premium GT $39995
Premium+PP $43990
Premium+401A $42195
Premium401A+PP $46190
I left off active exhaust and Magnaride since they were not in 2017. I think the big pricing trick here is the 301A package. I think you can make a fair argument that even though inflation in 2017 is around 1.5%, you are getting an extra 25HP for the $2k base price increase. But in addition to that you get an additional $2K for the 301A which then carries upstream to each additional major package increase. That and the $1000 increase in the PP make for a 3-4K increase across the board. In my opinion it would have been much more palletable to just ditch the 300A package and increase base price by another $500, particularly since you need the 301A for the PerfPack so you can't even make the argument that the 300A is just there for guys who want max performance at minimum price. That tiny screen and preposterous keypad have no place in 2018 in a 35K car. It has no place in a $20K car.
