has anybody installed a battery tender to one of the positive terminals in the battery box. And if you have witch one did you attach it to. I seen a picture of someone that attached the positive into the fuse box and the ground to the spot outside the box. any info on this. Thanx.

I posted the pix where the wires were connected to the positive terminal on the fuse box and a nearby ground on the strut tower (top left corner of the second pix). Works great and is convenient to connect the tender.

I like it , a clean look. I already put it to the battery. Next spring I'll move it to the fuse box. Just wanted to make sure it would not damage the system. Can't imagine that it would. Thanx JOHN

Is the positive wire on the center post?

The left of the three main posts goes to the battery. The small nut with the small red lead is what I added.

I have heard good stuff about CTEK. I have used Battery Tender brand for years, never had problems, I stayed with them. No pics, but, I ran mine to the battery and ground to the factory ground on the strut tower, ran it in the loom, looks just fine. kind of wish I would have thought about the fuse box beforehand........

The CTEK 3300 comes w the pigtail that can be attached to the battery terminal post in the fuse box and ground on the passenger side inner fender. I’ve been using it for over a year w absolutely no problems. The pigtail has an attached cover to the quick disconnect so there’s no worries about open connections. When it’s in use, the line to the CTEK unit slides nicely under the fender above the headlight. (No, I do not have a financial stake in the company:D)

I cut the round connectors on the Battery Tender pigtail into a "C" and loosened the nuts on the battery clamps just enough to slide them under and tightened them back up and works just fine.

What size nut did you use to make the positive connection? I really don't want to loosen the cable to get a ring connector under it.

Actually, I couldn’t tell you. I have several containers of excess small parts and just tried a few small nuts until one was a match to the threads.
I just measured it, and it appears to be a 6mm bolt.

Hi folks. This is my first post. Learning a lot from the community.
Collected my Magnetic GT350 a few days ago. It will be in storage over the winter.
Thanks for sharing.

Bumping this up for the people that may be looking at these for the winter.

I recently got the Ctek 3300 off Amazon and got it hooked up. Works like a charm and the pigtail that has the ring style connectors works great and you can easily make the wires very inconspicuous. In the pics I’ve attached you can see that I used the ground on the shock tower and ran the power to the most rearward positive lead in the fuse box that’s coming from the battery. Ran the positive wire under the big harness coming into the fuse box so the fuse block for the Ctek unit is kind of hid under there.

I really like the quick disconnect style plug it has on the pigtails. It also has a rubber plug that caps the end off when you unplug the pigtail from the unit to keep any moisture out. The wire is also small enough to run between the fender and headlight so you can shut your hood as well.

Definitely happy with the performance of the unit as well, so we’ll see how it holds up over time!
