broken intermediate shaft pics

So I always here about the intermediate shaft breaking but never seen one. well the other night at the top of forth on a damn good pass it popped and nosed over. so I took it apart and wouldn't you know it, a broken intermediate shaft! I figured I would show a few pics so others could see this failure that is so damn common. I'll be ordering my billet shaft and exedy clutches soon.

Sorry for the huge delay, yes it only had 1st gear
I think the same thing happened to me tonight. At around 7k RPM in 4th it went into limp mode. Car starts fine, neutral and reverse work, but I cannot shift with paddles and it's stuck in 1st gear.

Dammit.

Side question, is there any way to verify without pulling everything apart? It really shouldn't have gone at only 15PSI

Ya you loose all gears but first, wrench light will come on. There are reports of stock cars breaking the shaft

That looks like someone made the stock shaft by compressing to form the graphite stuff you use to lubricate a lock or door hinge, haha. WTF?

I fixed it and then sold it, i got a th400 now

That looks like someone made the stock shaft by compressing to form the graphite stuff you use to lubricate a lock or door hinge, haha. WTF?
Right , looks cheap
