Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

I just got off the phone with a dealer in Mississippi who is a major Roush Dealer and is getting a 2015 Shelby GT350. Great guy - we chatted for a bit. During the conversation, he said that the Roush guys were up at Flat Rock this past week and saw some of the GT350s being loaded up onto trucks. :clap2:

Later in the conversation, I asked him again to confirm what he was telling me...and he repeated, "Last Thursday, the Roush guys saw GT350s being loaded onto trucks." He also said that his rep couldn't tell him why they were on hold (shocker ), but that his rep said he should be receiving his car soon.

I REALLY hope this is true. It would certainly be nice to talk more about the shipment of cars than their ADMs .

I hope you're right, but the Question of the Day now is: Were they being loaded onto trucks for delivery - or to take to an outside vendor to fix whatever defective part has caused the shipping delay? :shrug:

The plant has it's own shop for modifications and paint issues. Maybe they are just shipping them to the dealers until we hear otherwise.

Apparently you missed Mark Fields at Barrett-Jackson last Friday, saying that the GT350 would be delayed for a "couple of months."

I've made a few calls to verify this, but in the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving. If I can't verify it, I'll say so - but it's already been posted elsewhere.

I watched the auction and interview with Mark Fields as well. I didn't hear him say they were delayed a couples months - I thought he said, "The 2016 should be out in a few months."

BTW - for what its worth (probably not much ;)) I spoke with another dealer out of South Carolina who said that 2 of the 2015 GT350s were accidentally released earlier (don't know when), and they had those cars shipped back to Flat Rock.

How's that for a kick in the pants? "Yep. Your car shipped, and its on its way to Flat Rock." :doh:

Boy this is so nuts you couldn't make this crap up. Oh well ! This is almost as bad as GM shipping a C7 Z06 to MT (BDC) with warn out brake pads. WTF. Then on top of that it was a DNF on the best drivers car test. Crazy stuff out there.

Any word on '16 production start and pace? Read somewhere '16 production started but not sure if thats been confirmed.
