The car is a '19 GT Premium with 401A. All was working as expected last time I drove the car.

On this morning's commute I plugged in my phone into the USB port in the dash like I usually do, which charges it and launches Android Auto. But today, there was no power and no Android Auto.

Troubleshooting steps I tried:
Rebooted the phone. (No effect.)

Plugged the same cable into a 12v to USB charger, and the phone started charging, so I believe that rules out anything with the phone or cable.

Tried a different cable with both the in-dash and center console USB ports and there was no charging or Android Auto.

I didn't try restarting the car. (I was already late for work.)

I'll check it again at lunchtime. What else should I try?

Happens randomly sometimes to me, usually restarting the car does the trick but if not a fuse might have blown somehow.

Thanks.

Is there a way to force Sync to restart without turning the car off and on again?

Did you happen to install the leaked version of Sync 3.4? There might be a few issues with cables afterward, as it's very picky. For example, my OEM cables work sometimes, whereas Anker cables work 100%.

It worked fine next time I started the car.

I'll try the "power and skip track (right arrow)" trick if it comes up again.

Thanks.

Did anything work?

I just bought a 2019 GT Prem vert and the USB ports are dead. I tried rebooting Sync 3 like 5 times and nothing. I can't even upgrade to 3.4.

TIA

Happens to me occasionally. I end up rebooting the APIM and it usually fixes it.

Thanks. I'm still dead in the water. will replace the hub with a new one.
Before you do, I'd recommend pulling the hub from the center console and checking the connections. They're pretty weak and prone to disconnect a little, which can cause intermittent or even constant inability to receive power.

But before that, check it's not just the fuse. I had the same problem once; screen worked fine, but no power at either usb port.

Can you help me identify which fuse to check? I looked at the fuses in fuse box under the hood and nothing looked blown. TIA

The fuse for the USB hub is on the interior fuse box. I believe it's fuse 32, 10 amp. The manual should have the location info as well.
