Would love to get these rims in black. Just ordered 2017 GT premium with PP in magnetic.

While I would like to go with some slightly wider tire sizes all around, I have some concerns on how these rims and tires affect the stock setup. I don't want to go too crazy in increasing tire sizes...want everything to work and handle well without rubbing or other major changes. Of course has to fit with the Brembos.

Hoping someone could answer the following for me before I make my purchase. Would like the end result to be pretty much the setup on the GT350...

I'm considering 19's up front and 20's in the rear...

-What are the tire sizes that would be recommended to match GT350?

-Will I need to have the car alignment camber and caster adjusted?

-Are spacers needed?

Any other considerations?

Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts!

GT350s are a little different in the fenders and hubs so they do run different sizes. They also run 10" all round, not 19F/20R like some places reported.

Paul can help you figure out tire sizes. There really arent any other considerations except deciding on lig nut color (you need new 'tuner' lug nuts as your stockers wont fit).

No spacers, no alignment adjustments, no other considerations.

LOL...exactly! No seriously, I scanned through most of the pages and pages in this thread...but couldn't really determine what's needed here.

Good clarification. Thanks. I am still wondering if I would be better off going square or the setup I mentioned. Again, not looking to crazy insane tire sizes, just a little bigger while getting these rims.

Allow me to help out.

So the GT350 stock sizing is

19x10.5 ET 30
19x11 ET 62

You can run the same setup if you want but I dont make those sizes in my 6GR wheels.

Typically for 19s for everything up to the GT PP I do a

19x10 ET 35
19x11 ET 50

285/325 tires and no rubbing stock or lowered.

Now if you desire to rock a doable staggered 19x10 & 20x11 that can be done as well.

Tire size wise your looking at something like the following

Front: 275/40/19
Rear: 295/35/20

Another option is a

Front: 275/40/19
Rear: 315/35/20

Ok so if I want to go in this setup, if I understand correctly I would want..

Squared
Rims
19 x 10 ET 35 front and rear with a 275/40/19 tire

or

Staggered
19x10 ET 35 front with 275/40/19 tire
19x11 ET 50 rear with 285/40/19 tire

Sorry, maybe I'm not understanding correctly. Can you clarify a "mild" squared setup and a "mild" staggered setup with rim and tire size recommendations?

Thanks!

With a 19x10 front and 19x11 rear setup, you can run a 285/35R19 on the front and a 305/35R19 on the rear with absolutely no issues at all. You could lower the car 2" and still not have an issue. People are running much more aggressive setups without rubbing.

No problem

So you can run a square setup which is the same size wheels, offsets and tires all around

So for square you can do

19x10 ET 35 with a 275/40/19 or 275/35/19 or 285/35/19 no rubbing. sizing all depends on the tire brand you want.

Or you can do a staggered setup

19x10 ET 35
19x11 ET 50

For tires you can do

275/35/19 & 305/35/19

or my recommendation

285/35/19 & 325/30/19

once again no rubbing what so ever.

Ok perfect...hopefully last question. So my new mustang comes with the performance package with the 19 in front and 19.5 in rear as you know...with your recommendations above, does the speedo accuracy get affected in any way?

The Techometer change is very minimal so it wont affect it.

Also you can use your factory PP tires as well.

 Please post pics of this setup if you do this. That would be so awesome.

Good job on the weight savings, mid 20 lbs on a 20"x11" wheel and getting it to fit without ridiculous alignment adjustments is impressive. I was thinking HRE was my only option, great to see there is a great looking alternative.

Here's a pic of my square setup. 19x10's +35 and 285/35's. I'm lowered on the Eibach Prokit(approx 1inch)

I'm really happy with how much more balanced the car feels, as I'm still discovering the limits.

i'm lovin' your set up...the wheel and tire size is exactly what i'm saving my coin to get...what brand of tire do you have and is the price for the 285/35/19 size reasonable?

have you got a new side shot?

is the color of those 6G's glossy?
