This Mustang of the Moment goes to M6G member CompO5.sl0w (Trevor) and his 2016 Mustang GT!
After selling his 2011 Grabber Blue Mustang GT last year and picking up a Competition Orange 2016 Mustang GT with performance package, Trevor has been knocking down mods one at a time starting with a roof and hood vent wrap in gloss black which provides a handsome contrast against the orange-everything aesthetic changes.
From early on in the project, Trevor wanted to make this car show-worthy by powder coating not just what could be seen on the outside such as the Brembo front brake calipers and MGP rear blank caliper covers, but also matching the Steeda Extreme G-Trac K-Member Brace on the underside.
To improve the look and stance of his S550, the Airlift Performance 3H kit was installed on his vehicle which rides on the Forgestar F14 matte black wheels (20×9.5 front / 20×11 rear).
Rounding out the edges are the rear decklid from Ford Performance Parts, Roush side scoops, RTR lower diffuser and side splitters.
As with all modifications, the truly unique ones that really set the vehicle apart can not be store bought, and with the help of another forum member, Trevor decided to try his hand at a custom grille, first by cutting the OEM plastic grille and then cutting and fastening a custom mesh grille powder coated matte black. The results look superb.
This is one S550 Mustang build that keeps getting better and we’re looking forward to what is up next.
