Shelby GT350 Mustang OKTB Achieved

We are one step closer to seeing the 2015/2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang on the road — as an important production milestone was reached this past Friday, October 9th.

Namely, the official Okay to Buy (“OKTB”) was achieved, which in Ford speak means that senior management has finished reviewing the MP1 (first mass production stage) and resolved any production and build issues at Flat Rock Assembly Plant.

This is important for several reasons, one of which is it means that MP2 (second mass production stage) — the real mass production phase, as opposed to the first few hundred vehicles produced in MP1 for testing and inspection, can finally commence.

The second reason and the important one that the over 250 Mustang6G members who have ordered the GT350/GT350R will collectively celebrate is the Shelbys will have finally been given the green light to be released for delivery to dealers on its way to having the first owner fire it up and drive it away.  No doubt, we should start seeing the first deliveries in just a few weeks.
