2015 Mustang EcoBoost Safety Recall

Ford has issued a safety recall on approximately 19,500 2015 Mustang EcoBoost vehicles in North America for elevated underbody temperatures.

Among other risks, Ford notes that prolonged exposure to elevated underbody temperatures might cause degradation of the fuel tank and fuel vapor lines, which could eventually result in a fuel leak (and risk of fire) and may also cause the parking brake cable seals to degrade, potentially affecting parking brake functions.

Affected 2015 Mustang EcoBoost vehicles include some that were built between Feb. 14, 2014 to Feb 10, 2015.  To check if your specific vehicle is affected, you can log in to your Ford Owner Account (VIN required).

See the forums for full details on this recall.
