Ford has just confirmed the 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang! That’s right, it will be a 2015 model year — something our sources hinted at and we reported nearly two years ago, and which Ford’s Jim Owens alluded to last month.
A limited run of one-hundred 2015 GT350 Mustangs will be made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this legendary vehicle and only 37 GT350R Mustangs will be built before the 2016 model year production changeover. Ford notes that of these limited edition 2015 GT350 Mustangs, 50 will be built with the technology package and 50 will be equipped with the track package.
“To honor the passion of our fans for Shelby GT350’s 50th anniversary, a limited run of GT350 models will be built in 2015; these cars will be highly coveted by both Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts alike,” said Henry Ford III, Ford Performance marketing manager.
