Shelby GT350 & GT350R Mustang Ordering Guide!

Here is your first look at the initial ordering guide for the new Shelby GT350 / GT350R Mustang!

The two equipment groups (900A and 920A) correspond to the GT350 and GT350R Mustang, respectively.

Both vehicles come standard with the 5.2L Ti-VCT Flat Plane Crank V8 engine, 6-piston (front), 4-piston (rear) Brembo brakes, Torsen Differential with 3.73 axle ratio, and 6-speed manual transmission.

The optional Track Package for the GT350 (900A) adds the MagneRide suspension, heavy-duty front springs, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers, selectable drive modes and lightweight metal tower-to-tower brace.

The GT350R (920A) gets the “R Package” which includes all of the track package content and adds carbon ceramic brakes (front), wheel locking kit, unique chassis tuning, chin splitter and aluminum rear bumper beam.  As Ford announced yesterday, the “R” also removes the rear seats, air conditioning, floor mats, tire mobility kit, and audio and SYNC systems.

It should be noted that there is an optional Electronics Package for the GT350R which will add some of that content back, including air conditioning / temperature control, 8″ LCD touch screen, navigation and Ford’s newly announced SYNC 3 connectivity and entertainment system.

The GT350 Mustang comes standard with 19″ x 10.5″ (front) and 19″ x 11″ (rear) ebony black painted aluminum wheels while the GT350R Mustang comes with 19″ x 11″ (front) and 19″ x 11.5″ (rear) carbon fiber wheels.  Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZR19 – 295/35 (front) and 305/35 (rear) for the standard GT350 and as we saw yesterday, 305/30 (front) and 315/30 (rear) for the GT350R Mustang.

As previously leaked, these new high performance Mustangs will be offered with an exclusive color – Avalanche Gray (which forum members have speculated will look like this, based on Ford’s 2015 paint codes.  This order guide also indicates that neither Guard nor Ruby Red will be available on the GT350 Mustang.

Both vehicles will come standard with cloth Recaros/Miko suede sport seats and the standard GT350 has the option to upgrade to leather /Miko suede that is available only with the Technology Package.

Other options of note include a painted black roof and “Over-the-Top” Racing Stripe available on both the GT350 and GT350R Mustangs.

As with the initial 2015 Mustang order guide, details are subject to change, but this provides a preview at the options/packages that we may see later this year.
