With over 200 owners of the 2015 Mustang, M6G members have wasted no time modifying their new S550 Mustangs and the steering wheel is no exception.
The 2015 Mustang steering wheel is smaller in diameter and provides better feel and ergonomics than that in its predecessors. But if you still want more changes, you may want to check out MustangCollector’s great mod.
He took the stock steering wheel, reshaped it and padded it to increase the overall thickness of the grip, before re-wrapping the wheel with a completely new stitch pattern (and custom colored stitching).
His caliper measurements show that this modification has increased the grip area by nearly 0.7″ and he reports that it has vastly improved the driving experience.
