Update: 2018 Mustang Scheduling & Production

If you’re one of the many Mustang6G members who have placed an order for a 2018 Mustang, be aware that 2018 Mustang scheduling for stock orders has been delayed one week to next Thursday, August 24, 2017, with Job #1 production set to begin on October 2, 2017.

Remember, this applies to dealer stock orders which undergo stringent initial quality assurance measures in which each vehicle is held, sometimes for days or even weeks to be inspected and if necessary repaired, before shipment to the dealership.

This also has an effect on retail orders since the manufacturer will not give the OKTB (OK-To-Buy) green light, which is required for retail orders to start scheduling, until the production line achieves five consecutive days of builds without any errors. Historically, this OKTB status is achieved approximately a month or more after Job #1 begins.
