The 2018 Mustang order guide is likely only weeks, if not days away and Ford dealerships have already been sent the order guide companion which provides a glossy-brochure overview of the factory installed packages and stand alone options for the imminent S550 Mustang refresh.
The order guide companion, posted by Mustang6G member disneyfun1, gives us our first visual at new-for-2018 packages and options such as the new Carbon Sport Interior Package (68C) featuring carbon fiber instrument panel, shift knob, ebony leather-trimmed seats with Alcantara inserts and Alcanatara door inserts.
Also previewed is the 2018 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Pony Package (54P) which features a unique bright upper grille with corraled pony logo design, 19” polished aluminum wheels, graphic side stripes in white or ebony, bright beltline and window surrounds (fastback only), tri-bar pony badge and premium carpeted floor mats with embroidered pony logo.
Notably absent from the order guide companion is any mention of the MagneRide magnetic damper suspension that Ford has stated will be optional on both the EcoBoost and GT performance packages. We take this to mean that the MagneRide feature will be a standalone option that can be paired with any performance package-equipped 2018 Mustang, but further confirmation will be needed in the form of the official order guide which should be released any day now.
