One of the highly anticipated parts from Ford Performance is the M-5300-W GT350 springs that fit both the 2015-17 GT350 and GT350R Mustang.
Ford Performance notes that it gives the vehicle a more aggressive looking stance in addition to increasing handling dynamics without sacrificing ride quality. The springs lower the GT350 by approximately 20 mm front and rear and works with both standard and production struts, shocks and sway bars.
Naturally, GT350 and R owners will want to know how the M-5300-W springs compare to the stock GT350R springs. Mustang6G member Epiphany was able to meet with Bruce Smith, an engineer and vehicle dynamics specialist from Ford Racing while at the 2017 PRI Show, to discuss the springs and place an order for a set.
Luckily, he’s just received the springs and given us our first real life look comparing the M-5300-W springs and the OEM GT350R springs.
