Special edition Mustangs are a time honored tradition but yesterday, Ford announced for the first time in its history two Ford Mustang special editions that will be sold exclusively outside of the United States.
In its “Go Further” event in Cologne, Germany, where the company unveiled the 2017 Ford Fiesta, Ford also revealed the Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition and the Ford Mustang Blue Edition that will be offered only to customers in Europe.
Both special editions deliver unique styling and premium specifications including SYNC 3 connectivity, heated and cooled seats, premium audio and premium leather interior.
The Black Shadow Edition S550 Mustang is available only with the Coyote V8 engine paired with either auto or six-speed manual transmission, and features unique body styling including a black Pony emblem in the GT grille, dissolve-effect black stripes along the wheel arches and hood (or bonnet, as the case may be) and black 5.0 badges on the front wings. The entire package rides on exclusive black 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels.
Contrary to what the name suggests, the Black Shadow Edition will be available in four exterior paint colors — Platinum White, Triple Yellow, Race Red and Grabber Blue.
The Blue Edition S550 Mustang will be offered exclusively in Grabber Blue exterior body color enhanced with central dissolve-effect black bonnet and roof stripes as well as a set of black 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. This special edition will be offered in both V8 and 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine options.
