In his own words, Bernal states, “I went for more of a grown up super car that also attracts a younger audience like Saleen has always done.  The Saleen brand has always tried to seperate themselves from other ‘tuner Mustangs’ and have always been their own breed. They create an almost organic shape that uses the Mustang existing lines to create a different vehicle that’s not just a Mustang with a body kit.”

As pointed out by some of our users, notice how the wrinkles, lines and shadows of the car cover and the wheel positioning is identical to the KPG photos despite one set of pictures showing the Mustang on a flatbed, and the other [apparently] on the ground. Especially interesting is that the second picture blurs out whatever is on top of and around the Mustang.

The question remains, what does this mean? Did Ford work with the spy photographers to release these pictures as a red herring, to prevent bad publicity from a mechanical breakdown or crash, or does the blur reveal something they wanted to keep secret?

The worsening results in Europe primarily reflected higher costs, including those related to restructuring, and higher pension expenses due to lower interest rates, Ford said. Weak industry sales and unfavorable exchange rates also contributed to the loss, the company added.

Ford reaffirmed its forecast for a 2013 loss in Europe of about $2 billion. In 2012, the loss was $1.75 billion.
